2 Door Base Sas 2.7 Oct. 2021 order. Finally got scheduled March 20th. Can I make any changes, specifically to accessories? I’d like to add the auxiliary switches and a modular bumper but I don’t want to mess anything up with price protection and my dealer is clueless.
Anyone have any experience with this?

You could potentially change color, but probably nothing else.

First I’m seeing anyone make a major change to their build after a VIN was assigned. I’d lean towards this not being common at all and really surprised it was able to be completed. Good for the buyer, but i wouldn’t expect something like that to be common at all.

I've read conflicting stories on this.

Some say you can't make any changes after you get a VIN.

Others say you can't make changes that would change the VIN (engine, # of doors, transfer case).

Messing up price protection seems to have been a thing for MY22 orders. It doesn't seem to be an issue in MY23 since they already calcuated your amount and put a certificate in Smart VINCENT for you.

I'd say ask your dealer to try to make the changes and see if the system allows it or not.
