So with the X-Plan gone, roof color delays to MY22 and a few other issues my desire to get a Bronco early has waned considerably. I made a second reservation last week and taking delivery in mid 2022 would work just fine.

I was wondering what to do with my 1st reservation made on 1 August. When I told the sales guy at the dealership I was likely to cancel they sounded like they wanted me to go ahead with the 1st order (refund my $100 and no deposit) and they would just keep and sell it. I'm not sure if I want to give them a gift like that where they will likely make some decent profit. Only way it makes sense for me to help them is if they give me a good deal using the second reservation. Thoughts?

It’s yours, not theirs
Heck, if you don’t cancel then order, buy it and flip it to some desperate person willing to pay up
But if me, I’d just cancel and move on
I’m in similar boat - thinking I may cancel and just look to buy in 2022 or maybe even 2023 - but may just move on completely

The no donut doors seriously was the first time I considered honestly cancelling my reservation. No saddle interior, no modular top, and no X-plan.... what else isn't going to be available? Come on Ford.

Don’t even talk to them and cancel the first order. You are set up with a second res. When it’s time to take delivery they will stick you with some charge and say there is no thing they can do about it and you wind up paying. Give them no gift they are not your friend and you owe them nothing.

So much for excitement of b&p. Now I don't care. Sad. This is major screw up. Do I wait another year.?or just buy a gladiator? Or keep my tundra? So disappointed.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere on this forum a discussion about dealers getting reserved Broncos as a big NO-NO. Penalties to be had for this conduct.

Yeah, I suspect that's true and I may have misinterpreted. Could have meant something else like we'd give your deposit back and just keep it. 2022 is looking like the one I'll go with, too many issues with the first year.

Just noticed your picture, did you work with the 117? Working at SW now and earlier this year they had some cool Have Blue posters.

Worked the production plan, first to last. Great time.

Leverage the first reservation into the agreement on the price of the second Bronco for yourself.

Everything is negotiable.

Probably end up getting screwed on both if I try that. Safest play is to cancel 1st and I feel pretty good about going with Granger with the 2nd. I was planning on a trip to Iowa in the summer of 2022 already.

That's dope. It's settled. I'm cancelling my Bronco and reserving a 6th gen stealth fighter instead.

So, how do we just push to 22? Might only make a few weeks difference anyway....
