Still wondering what paint you're using...I'm seeing a couple options, all pretty pricey. An enamel of color and then clear coat?

I painted mine a few weeks ago, by just masking off around the D-Ring and only painting with the enamel. It looks great and was super easy. If it ends up getting scratched up, I could just paint them again.

Hi SilverSurfer! Could you tell me what paint you used? and did you take the plastic cover off or leave it on and tape around the Dring. Also about how long did it take for the paint to dry? Thanx!!

Plastic cover off, six bolts, unplug fog harness, mask and paint. Insert new fogs!

Hey, I did take off the plastic covers and had tape and paper covering most of the bumper and grille. I bought my paint from automotivetouchup.com and found the Grabber Blue color from Ford to match the Black Diamond blue.

When I painted, I, too, just pulled the covers and masked well....no need to pull bumpers other than to upgrade fogs.

https://mandronline.com/collections/2022-ford-bronco-capable-bumper

here's a good option for fog lights made for the capable bumper!
I installed the M&R fog light kit and light bar to the capable bumper. Super easy to install, looks great, more cost efficient than DD and BD and added about 32000 lumens to the front of my rig. What I really liked was I was able to connect the amber DRL in the fog/pod lights to my fog light switch and then the actual light pods to my aux switches.

Has anyone changed out the D-Ring Shackle Bracket yet with the OEM bracket or an aftermarket solution on the capable bumper? Would like to do this myself but I don’t want to be the Guinea Pig.

Truck looks great, would be curious to hear how you did that with the fog lights separate from the aux switch different from what they show on their site/videos and see the final product! Thanks.

1. Pop off the plastic surrounds around the D-rings. Unclip sensors
2. Remove 3 bolts on either side ( driver & passenger ) unclip foglights
3. Lift bumper up a little and slide off towards you.
4. Flip bumper on its face, remove 1 bolt each side holding the shackle mount to the bumper.
So, @Scotty_A51, the shackle mount is mounted to the bumper and not directly to the frame like the modular bumper tow hooks?

The reason I ask is I have the cable bumper and want to be able to flat tow my Bronco behind our RV. I am/was considering replacing the D-rings with Tow Hooks (P/N M-18954-BO). But, for towing I'd think you want them mounted directly to the frame and not the bumper. Anyone go down this route? Is this a mistake?

They are mounted to frame just like modular.
