So is my Capable Bumper going to be a problem when I off-road in winter?

I was out wheeling thru a state forest in deep snow last weekend. Trail was untouched before we got there. We forded a few icy streams. I was second in line in a BL Sas (35") behind an old Jeep with 33"s. Lotta fun., but I was snow plowing, definitely

I ended up with a huge ice dam that wrapped up the front of my truck from underneath. Suspension completely iced over: like, huge blocks of icy mud coating coils, tie rods, control arms, everything.

After 15 minutes with a warm water pressure washer I STILL have frozen mud up there.

Anyone else run into this?
Should I think about swapping out my Capable for a Modular or after market?

A bumper that is a plow maybe, however I would think that if you are running in those conditions it is going to build up no matter what. Sounds fun

Thanks for the responses. I figured as much.

And yeah, BT, awesome fun! Love the Cyber Orange, btw.

I noticed a lot of mud buildup on the inside of my bumper. i'm going to put an aluminum guard there to keep mud out. Much cheaper than a new bumper.
