Hi, following on from my other thread,

I'm new to the North American car market so lot of the products / network im used to in Europe isn't available.

We have purchased a bronco raptor and want to get It protected messaged a few local shops (central PA) and so far the only one to get back to me is an advocate of the brand "Carlas", they are gtechniq accredited which is why I'd initially got in touch but they say the Carlas PPF doesn't require any add ons,

Also comes with a 10 year warranty and no special "maintenance" to keep that warranty... anyone used it on a bronco / other car? I have historically used Xpel on my cars...

Where exactly are you located at in central PA? Rose Detailing in Carlisle uses Xpel. I personally never heard of Carlas ppf but if the installer is experienced and reputable it may be fine.

State college,

I have reached out to the local "Xpel" dealer and the correspondence hasn't filled me with confidence however the carlas installers seem much more switched on and like they want the business...

It's backed with a 10 year warranty

Your question intrigued me. I’ve had ppf on all of my vehicles since about 2003. I’ve never heard of the film brand you are asking about even after searching there is a real lack of helpful information. The only real piece of information I could find is that it’s 6.5 mils. I don’t remember if Xpel is 7 or 8 now. I know they also offer a 10 mil nowadays. I don’t understand the switched on comment, is the Xpel installer new, that would concern me also. Which installer is the more experienced? I think installer is extremely important but so is the product. I’ve seen to many people buy an inferior brand and then do nothing but complain that ppf is a terrible product when they did it to themselves. I don’t know if I’d go with the Carla personally, might be too big of a leap for the costs involved and for such a nice vehicle. Curious to hear your progress and outcome.

Hi, the Xpel is 8 and the 10 option ins +25% extra.

switched on comment might be a bit too English - the Carlas installers have been proactive answering questions called me spent a while explaining everything, are very active on social media posting all the cars they are doing and the work looks good.

Not to say the Xpel installers arent great, I just haven't been filled with confidence via the email comms,

Like you say very little info from Carlas, I did find a bunch of videos from some trade show recently in Vegas and everyone liked there stuff.

This was the last car I purchased new and got protected, full front end was done in Xpel and ceramic'd ontop back in 2016/17 and it's held up great to this day.
