Don't worry about that.. I'm sure minimum wage will surely cover an apartment in some crack neighborhood. But once again, it's not anyone else's problem but the person who BELIEVES minimum wage should support him/her.Not to go too far off-topic in a thread where we need to stay focused on hating ford...
But for me, the issue is that minimum wage should be able to cover the basic needs for a person that's working 40 hours a week. I have this wild hippie notion that someone working minimum wage at Circle K should be able to afford the, you know, 'minimum' things in life. Rent, a used Honda Civic, cell phone, car insurance, some ramen in the cupboard, things like that. No one is suggesting that a minimum wage worker at McD's deserves a Porsche and a 4000 sf house, but when the base necessities can't be bought at 40 hrs a week, something's off.
Now, back to hating on ford, 45 minutes to go!
So back to my original statement, you want more? Get an education, get a skill, teach yourself (I did with AutoCAD). People have options, yet they are lazy!
