Hello All,

The time is drawing near to replace my factory SAS tires with some Cooper STT Pros. My biggest complaint about the factory tires is their ability to throw rocks like no other tire I have ever owned. Seriously, its absurd. I have decided to replace them with a set of Cooper STT Pros, and want to know from those of you that have owned them; how bad do they throw rocks? The lug spacing is wider so they could be significantly better, but I am looking for real-world experience. Who has something to say?

Afternoon, I run these tires, and I have not had any issues with them throwing rocks. Now I do find rocks stuck in the thread...lol but throwing rocks, no.

Running 37x12.5x17 I do have forge carbon flares.

The larger the voids in the tread.. the larger of stone that can get stuck&chucked.. same with tread depth... up to a point. M/t patterns generally have voids in the tread large enough where nothing gets stuck.

I've never had a *decent* a/t or r/t tire that didn't fling rocks.. doesn't bother me though. Being a chucker means they have good bite.. and being on an offroad vehicle.. dings and dents are an inherent part of life.

Think of it as an “anti-tailgater” feature…!! Will occasionally keep some people off your butt … 🤔😜

I had STT Pro 35's on my lifted Ram and I saw no evidence of throwing rocks.

I had the Bushwacker pocket fender flares pre-painted by Bushwacker. If the tires were tossing rocks I would have seen it on the inside of the flares and I never did.

I'd buy the STT Pro's again in a heartbeat and will replace the Goodyears with them when the time comes.

sure they throw a few --all mud tires do--but with the larger lugs means larger rocks but fortunately most roads do not contain a lot of large rocks that you can pick up and throw when you are cruising along. Going slow there's just not enough force to get them to fling far. The positive side is they will sling small cat sized chunks of mud when needed

I have now had the STT Pros installed for a few months and can confirm that they throw rocks MUCH less than the stock Squatch tires did.

Can you post pics of your 35" STT Pro's on your Bronco Denny? Most of the pics I am finding are of the 37's.
