We got TP at a local liquidation center. One of those places that buys out closing businesses and insurance claims.
They always seem to find non-typical stuff.

Dollar General and those types of stores seem to have some stocks of stuff you can't find other places too.
There's a DG less than a mile from the house, unfortunately they don't have TP or bread.

If you are over 60, where the death rate is around 20%, I genuinely hope you are still on the board here in 6 months.
If you are under 60, then you can be asymptomatic and be a walking Scythe of death for those over 60, I hope you are staying away from the older folks.
Fortunately for me, I'm not around enough people to be affected, plus I doubt it's really around 20% for under 60

It's about time you pull your head from out of your...

It's here... it's gonna stay... and we will be feeling it's effects for a long time.
My head's outta my ass, Gramps.

All I asked is who else is tired of the non-stop coverage, as we get it, media wants it to be Black Plague 2.0 when it's basically not that scary

Also, obviously no one in their right mind goes out to get the virus, especially as my parents are in their 60s, even if my Dad could probably shrug it off.

I'm not gonna get political here, but all I'll say is there's some interesting stuff going on behind the scenes now

This chart is so full of disinformation and bullshit I don’t know where to even start. H1N1 is the closest parallel to Covid-19 in recent history, but that fatality rate you have is completely wrong. H1N1 fatality rate was around .02%....coronavirus is around 2%. That’s 10x deadlier, and coronavirus is more contagious to boot. If you are still trying to stick your fingers in your ears and ignore just how big of a deal this is you are a clown.

At this rate I’d say there’s about a 30% chance we don’t get a Bronco.

All I know is it's not as deadly as it's made out to be and I'm not holding my breath on the bronco either

Had another thing on it, but can't post it, but if most of us got it, we'd make it through it no problem, unless we're over 65 with underlying health issues

Yup fuck old people. Kill em all.

This is a garbage attitude to have and people spouting this bullshit are starting to really fucking piss me off. What if there was a disease that only targeted young people? Oh as long as I’m older than 30 I’m fine. Pretty sure you’d change your tune then.

By the way, I say this as a 25 year old man. But saying that this only kills old people so it doesn’t matter is disgusting to me. Do you not have anybody in your life over 65 or 70 that you care about?

For reference here’s a chart of the fatality rate. If you are advocating just letting this shit spread you’re basically telling everyone over the age of 80 to play Russian roulette with a 7-shooter.

Plus keep in mind those .2% death rates for lower risk people. That is 10x deadlier than h1n1.

I have to go to DMV today to register three vehicles for work. Talk about drawing the short stick. My boss is 70, it’s a suicide mission for him. Since Bronco news and leaks have ground to a halt, tell me a worst place you have to than the DMV.
I currently work a grocery store as I await to finish my degree and Commision. Starting Thursday I have worked every department in the store. We fully ran out of deli items (my department) so we ended up moving everyone to frozen, market, and dairy to help there. People are insane. In the past 4 days I have seen people fight over dumb things and be escorted out of the store. This is the first day I have off since the panic started. It is kinda terrifying seeing everyone walk the aisle in gloves and masks with nothing on the shelves. People are seriously worked up about this. Meanwhile in Korea all the stores are fully stocked, but you know people only watch the media they want to watch and not the big picture.

The death rate isn't what scares me honestly... However it is a concern.

But I will ask... do you own a business? A business that employs over 20 people that you care about and they count on your paycheck you deliver weekly? Have you invested everything into that business and it relies on people coming into your RESTURANT? Probably not.

I'm getting a little concerned that I may lose most of what I've worked for a good portion of my life. Then you call it "hype" and post what you call "dank memes" making light of the situation. Then you post false information because you read it on the internet... pethitic.

I'm old enough to be "Gramps" but however I'm not. But you should take this serious... and perhaps see a doctor for your rectal cranial disorder.

Who said fuck old people?

I don't wanna see people die, just saying if, God forbid, we got it, we'd just shrug it off is all, unless we're 65+, then good luck to us getting through it

I’m done with this conversation. Usually I try and refrain from personal attacks but it’s pretty clear you’re a stupid, ignorant person. Keep living your fantasy, just try not to spread any coronavirus to anybody you care about.
I ditto what was said... be safe out there

I'm done here too. Hard to see how people feel over words and texts and my words are probably being read wrong when I don't mean it as such.

Hopefully on other threads, we can mend things, don't want bad blood with anyone, but until then, I'm done talking about this temporary hysteria.

Anyway, have a good day

And I am probably taking it to an extreme, I don’t think you’re a bad person my man. But you gotta realize this is way way WAY bigger than you’re making it out to be. This is going to change our world just as much as 9/11 or 2008 did. If not more. Sticking your head in the sand is not going to benefit that.

Here’s an example; https://finance.yahoo.com/news/second-quarter-gdp-could-plunge-10-economist-warns-133619896.html

If GDP drops 10% we are absolutely fucked.
For reference the worst quarter in the 2008 recession we dropped 8.4%.
