Those people are idiots. Doesn't change the fact that this is not "fake news" and needs to be taken seriously when it comes to restricting movement and social interaction.
I just struggle so much with the cognitive dissonance for people who still aren’t taking this seriously. This whole thing started with Trump pretty much blowing it off, so honestly I get being influenced by that. But now trump is taking it damn serious and now people are disagreeing with him? I just don’t understand

This is a Bronco forum so there's going to be some humor and varied opinions. A CDC or WHO forum would probably be a better place for meaningful conversation. 
Worth remembering that WHO said in mid-JANUARY that person-to-person transmission was not occurring in China. ChiComs are more to blame for a late start than anyone.

There are two ends of the spectrum to everything; this is no different.
On one side you have the group that says, "OMG the world is ending, lock yourself in the basement and if you don't you're an idiot". On the other side you have the people who say, "All the people who believe this fake propaganda are idiots".
I work with people from both camps and see the same stuff that's happening on this forum unraveling at work. I make popcorn and listen to both extremes. Automatically venturing to either side is called extremism, and usually leads to complete ignorance of something very real happening somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.
This is a crazy time...

This article is just more fear mongering.
For the people who still think nothing is happening and it will continue to be that way, it's all about the exponential growth. By the time it is easy to tell there is a problem, it is way too late to stop it.

I'll admit that I doubted the severity initially, but that was largely because we had no one but China as a source of info. Now that the numbers can be illustrated in multiple more believable countries, this is clearly on course to be a trainwreck if the brakes are not applied.
