2025 Big Bend, has the USB on top of the dash, but I can't find a dash cam that runs of it. I don't have the power mirror so can't have a stick on camera behind it,, and don't want to squeeze wiring under the trim of the dash, screen, or anywhere else. (Leased vehicle)

Any ideas from you guys ?

My Dashcam came with like 10' of cable that was easily tucked under the trim around the window to end up right at the USB plug in the center dash. It's really not that hard to do. A plastic trim tool helps and you may have to hide several inches in one corner.

My local dealer told me he didn't know of any USB C powered dash cams. Are any USB A maybe ?

I was wanting to mount it on a mounting post on top of the dash right by the USB C power.

Any help appreciated.

Highly recommend something like a Dongar adapter. Allows you to splice into rearview mirror.

Viofo dash cams run from USB and are some of the best out there. They even come with a 12V (lighter) to USB A adapter. The dash cam uses USB C.

Projectfarm gave them a great review. They use Sony STARVIS chips.

OP said they didn't have power to the mirror.

Disregard. I missed your note about no power.

There are plenty of mini usb to type C cables that should work if you want to power to the dash.

Costco sells a TypeS dashcam that can run off a USB connection...and sticks to the inside of the windshield with a provided clear plastic sheet that makes it easily removable. Around $120, iirc...
