Order is in with an OuterBanks (non-Squatch) as this will be the wife's car and lightly see off road. We ordered with the High package to add 12" display and 360 camera etc. Also ordered with leather. Seems this is likely the best since on road with carpet and High package sound deadening will be well mannered.

That said I keep having second thoughts about the Black Diamond with the rinse out floor and marine vinyl etc. and actually going to the Outer Banks 4x4 probably next year. Likely wouldn't need all the fancy off road rear locker etc. If they only offered the High package here I likely would've done the BD vs OBX.

Guess Ford did a good job picking their levels and what's available...

Yup, personally would have gotten a Black Diamond if it could have had Lux.

"lightly see off road". You are good with Outer Banks. You can't get the High package. Also, you aren't going to be getting this thing dirty inside. The rubberized flooring will seem "low rent" for a vehicle that's not getting dirty inside. If you hit the dusty trails, unless you are going doors off, it's not like the carpets are going to get very dirty. At worst, a vacuum will do the job unless you deliberately plop muddy feet in them. I always get WeatherTech floor mats for our SUVs. You could have those in all of the time or just when you do your light off-roading.

My guess is your wife will probably prefer the OBS wheels to the steel wheels. Ask her. There is an aluminum wheel upgrade for Black Diamond, but that eats up almost half of the price difference between it and Outer Banks.

@timhood - nailed it. It's only just over a $1500 cheaper than OBX with leather and High package. Weathertech here we come!

BTW, is that your '74 in your avatar? Very nice, uncut.....and I'll bet that ' light off-road ' in your photo is more than many 6g Broncos will see

I am right there with you. The entire time, including the first hour after the reveal I have been sold on Badlands however after a change in events the Bronco will now be my wife's daily driver and we might at most drive some light trails. I want her to be comfortable and the Outerbanks seems to fit the bill. At first I started with Big Bend for her however it quickly gets to or above Outerbanks pricing.

Yes, that's my '74 :) No seats currently as they are at the upholstery shop to get covers installed. Just starting redoing the interior 😀
