Is this normal? Will they settle out? WhT did I do wrong to create these? - similar on both sides. The top was obviously pressed against something while folded down. It’s nice again today so I’ll try again to see if I can figure it out but has anyone else experienced this?

Did you have a bunch of rocks folded up with your top?

the post-2022 tops have that extra seam running down the side (smart, IMO) that you might have to contend with for this, but try the following. When you put down the top the first few times, do it slowly once you get it about halfway back, and make sure to knock the fabric into rolling and sitting flat when it's folded. After a few times up and and down and some time in the sun, it'll lay the right way by default.
