After looking around all I can find on the subject was getting the piece through rough country. So I decided to make one for myself. This is as low as I can take it without removing the rear bracket and messing up drive shaft angle. Any one have any experience with any diff drops

How much of a drop is that? No personal experience with them, but my friend had the Total Chaos diff drop on his long travel 1st gen Tacoma. It was extremely simple, basically aluminum puck/spacer and longer bolts. It helped relieve some stress on the CV's by decreasing the angle.

@BigMeatsBronco

He modded the RC to fit his needs. This is about the only thing I have seen around here pertaining to a diff drop.

It looks excellent. I did nearly the same, and I used spacers on passenger side mount, AND I also flipped the rear mount plate from above frame plate to BELOW , and added 3/4 inch spacer. This allows for 1" drop at the rear mount and close to 2" at the front. For me, this turned out about 1.5" drop at carrier axle centerline.

I did carve out my skidplate to get it to fit...

Are you considering making these for sale? I’d be interested.

Yeah it's tight in there and the tools don't fit well.

Not much space for pics either.

You can see where Ive move the mount to under the frame-plate and added spacer.

The mount normally sits above the plate.

IIRC one side needs the factory welded nut ground off too! Have fun with a drill and dremmel tool! 💪
