I’ve searched and scoured the forums and Ford’s website and I can’t find whether or not a fuel tank skid is included in the 2 door Badlands package. I did find the below picture on the Ford Accessory website and the detailed bullet points I copy and pasted below indicate the fuel tank isn’t included in that package but I can’t confirm with 100% certainty whether the 2 door Badlands has a fuel tank skid included. I’m going to order one from JCR Offroad if it’s not included with the Badlands.

So I’m hoping a forum member knows for sure what skids their 2 door came with.

In any case here’s what I’ve found from the Ford Accessory page:

  • 2-door kit covers the front, engine and transfer case
  • 4-door kit covers the the front, engine, transfer case and fuel tank
.

All 2 Door Broncos default with the steel skid plate on the gas tank.
I didn't know that. That's a solid reason to not include one with the kit!

Yeah it's actually an interesting thing. You'd think at that point they'd do it all around but alas the 4 door defaults with just some tank straps and no protection lol

I had never seen a factory skid for the transmission. Today JCRoffroad posted a set of factory skids for sale, take offs, which included the engine/front diff., transmission and transfer case. Have you guys seen a factory transmission skid? How does it attach (pics?). Anybody have a PN?

I was very pleasantly surprised when I popped my head underneath and found the skid plate for my gas tank, last weekend!
