For those of you who have placed an order with an agreed upon purchase price (i.e. x % below invoice), how have you documented the agreed-upon purchase price? This seems particularly tricky for those who will wind up with 2022 year models, where the final numbers may be subject to change.

Are those "agreements" enforceable?

Dealer I went with provided a standard vehicle purchase agreement. The agreement was signed by both the dealer and myself. This is further backed by email communication agreeing to terms / pricing.

I have a signed purchase agreement by my dealer & myself with the agreed upon discounts & final price. I was also told they will honor the same agreement if I get pushed to a MY22; if the cost go up they go up but I still get the same deal from the dealer.

The deal I'll sign onto is 2K below invoice. So, if (and we know it will) the price goes up any that won't be a problem. The price will still be 2K below invoice. So, I'm good to go as I know my dealer won't pull any shenanigans. They have a great reputation, and would not want to jeopardize that.

I'm guessing that most of the broadcasted concern is with folks not using "forum dealers".

I think I signed (we both signed) the order form with the complete pricing on it.
Sales tax, Title work, doc fees ...etc etc.

I have my copy, I'd get it to look , but I really am not concerned. I've been buying from this dealer since, well , there were still new Broncos on their lot at that time! LOL
I would not have cared if we didn't sign anything.

Basically got it in writing with their signature. But it is "not" enforcable. They aren't required to do anything. I had my dealer "change their mind" even though it was something that I received in writing. I sent a letter to Ford about their bait and switch tactics to see if there is anything someone from corporate might do. I can probably get a lawyer involved and win but financially it won't be worth it. I already plan on leaving them negative feedback everywhere I can and reporting them to the BBB. You can't agree to something in writing and back out. It has all 3 things needed to constitute a contract. But don't trust anything dealers say. All they care about is the money and don't give a damn about you.
