I've been looking for a good trail map and OnX Offroad seems really good but I wanted to see if anyone else has used it and if it's worth buying?

Or is there another trail app that you're using?

Does anyone know if the Gaia maps will work on the Bronco head unit?

I’ve used Gaia for hiking and trailing, love it. Another one I have used is Avenza Maps

I have OnXOffroad and I’ve used it all over southern Nevada, Arizona and Utah area. I like the ability to creat your own routs and you can save an area to out of cell service file. This way you still have access to the map so you can find your way back.

I use onX, paid for the annual subscription, but I hadn't tried Gaia before paying for this so I couldn't say one is better than the other. That said onX has been great so far, well worth the subscription.

I particularly like being able to use a normal browser to plan a route, and mark download areas and other content for offline use and have it automatically synced to my phone when I open the app. It works with the factory display as well.

GAIA GPS works fine through Apple Car Play on my Badlands.
Good to know. I'm currently running a 3-month trial with OnX Today the website was a bit sluggish. I just figured out the off line maps so will be testing that Next Saturday.

I've ran the premium version of Gaia for a few years and although I liked it, I had constant issues with the offline maps and it never seemed to work via carplay on my Gladiator or my Power Wagon. I am thinking that may have been more of a uconnect issue though.

I am using onX now and have been for a few months and I have to say that I prefer it over Gaia. Its really close to being the same thing, but onX seems a lot more intuitive and the offline maps have been working flawless for me in the Bronco headunit with carplay.
