I'm looking for apps to find offroad trails.

So far I've found onX Offroad and Trails Offroad although Trails Offroad doesn't show near the amount of trails as onX does.

Any other apps out there?

Alltrails also has some 4x4 trails on its list (not as good as On-x). However, they are more for hiking.
Gaia is the Swiss knife of outdoor apps. It is good for hiking and 4x4 trails. Unfortunately, their membership price has recently skyrocketed, and there is no longer 50~80% off discount.

Remember when you bought software and owned it. Now everything is subscription based. I f$$k!$g hate this new world we are in. LOL.

I use Gaia and Trails Offroad. I import the trails from Trails Offroad to Gaia.

How do you find the trail info concerning length, difficulty, etc. on Gaia?

I contribute to openstreetmap (OSM), which is the base map under all of these apps.
I can see most of them are 6+ months behind our updates and edits, although, they could update our edits virtually live, like some of the ADSB flight radar apps do.

I think the onX off road app shows potential when more users get on board to upload their own tracks and trail reports, like the AllTrails app does.

onX isn’t due to update the base map for another 2 months.

I use TrailsOffroad since it has decent trail info in the Southeast and like the pricing better than OnX.

I also use Gaia since I hike as well and love it for offline mapping which is a must in my area.

Trails Offroad is your answer...

But Gaia does have a search feature and if you know the name of the trail it might have it...

I just recently found TrailsOffroad after playing with both Gaia and OnX. TO is so much easier to deal with and the CarPlay integration Just Works. Gaia seems to have a lot more features but if you’re route planning you need to sit in front of a laptop.
