Is there a TSB or something that you can reference with the dealer?

No. There’s an SSM Ford release a while ago saying they were working on doing this, but they haven’t announced that they actually have done it yet. Since this is the first time we’ve seen it on something other than a 2023, I suspect they will release some type of information about it very soon.

Bytheway, thanks for posting the vid!

Do the windows go back up at some point if the doors are not opened?
Goes up in 10 -15 seconds. Mine was built Job2 and has it.

Quote from SSM 51895: " . . . short drop event will not activate when a door is unlocked by placing a hand on an exterior door handle".

That's disappointing. That's how we unlock our door before we open it. What's the rationale?

I’d rather it drop when my hand goes behind the handle than having to push the unlock button on the fob as well. Maybe some year!

I can't wait till the first big ice event here when the window will be stuck and not drop. Ought to be a lot of fun.

Excuse the wind noise but this shows what I’m talking about. The windows drop via the remote or the interior switch, but not by the proximity unlock on the handle or pulling the interior handle while the doors are locked. Not a perfect fix but better than nothing.

Don't worry about the wind noise, we're all used to it by now 😔

Not sure how you would use that on the window belts. Would make one heck of a mess.

I put a little on a paper towel or shop towel. A little goes a long way. I do al the door seals as well as the hard top seals maybe twice a year.

Hi, Ducati.

Were you able to determine if these DDM/PDM module updates are out now and that dealers would be able to install them? My Bronco is at the dealership for an unrelated issue and I'm wondering if I should ask about doing this?

Still no mention from Ford that I've seen.
I'm going to bring my Bronco into the shop in a few minutes and try it though. So I'll let you know if I have an update available and if it does the new window drop function.

@ToddGreen No luck for me.

All of my modules are completely up to date. I didn't have any DDM or PDM updates. I did have a BCM update that I did, but my windows still don't do the updated drop procedure at all.

Mine is a 2 door, unlike the OP's Bronco. So maybe they just don't have the programming out for 2 doors yet?
