Dumb Tire Question

I"ve interneted this, but I trust you guys more. I have a set of BD steelies with the General Grabbers that came with them, 265/75/r17. Can I put these on a 17 x 8.5" wheel? Thanks!

Sure https://wheelssize.com/tires/LT-265-75r17.html 8.5" is less than 9

I goofed, they're 265/70/r17, not 75.

To be clear is it a 75 or 70, because the 265/70R17 is what comes stock on the black diamond. But yes, Per General Tire you can put on a 8.5" rim.
