DV8 Cargo Box Replacement

I don't understand why y'all keep saying the 2 door storage box is different. As far as I know it's not. DV8 doesn't even say this is more door only.

I didn't believe there was a difference either...

I love me some storage, but I don't think I'm ready to take an angle grinder to my Bronco body.

Doesnt require any grinding or cutting - pretty much drops into place.

This is a drop in (actually, pull up from below if not a Raptor) replacement. No angle grinder needed!

Oh, cool. IOt looked like you had to cut away body material, but just a drop-in, that makes it very appealing. Thank you!

It fits in the 2D, I’ve got one in mine. Install was a breeze. A bit larger than OEM. I need to replace the vinyl “seal” (sticker) as mine leaks / collects desert dust but I don’t really care. Time will tell if the heat shield’s adhesive will hold up but it hasn’t fallen off yet.

I stashed the OEM cubby & heat shield in my garage in case I ever decide to go back to stock to accommodate aftermarket exhaust or TBD leaning moments.

Hi how did you route the air pipe from the box. I have an AAL mass storage Base and don't think I have enough room to put it under the frame to both left and right side so I can inflate both sides at the same time. Are you concerned about lack of ventilation? They do get really hot? I don't have the fibre floor anymore just the aal components.

Air goes from compressor out to driver side lower hole in box and into a water separating filter mounted directly on the tank (1m ARB stainless hose). Then on the passenger side of tank output comes back around to front big grommet of box, and then to left side storage area into a T fitting. Output of the t fitting is to regulator and then out to remote air chuck near tow hitch and 2nd output goes to Hadley air horn solenoid. The air horn and air chuck output hoses all go through the big main grommet at the front of the box. I used the flat grommet and some spent brass from my ,45ACP to cut holes in the grommet - 9mm, .40 or .38 should work as well.

Thanks. I'm going to see if I can find an air tank for the other side. Arb one is just a bit too wide at 6.5 but because my floor is raised it might work.
