4 times while in the mountains I get multiple error messages on almost all electronic systems. I live up at 6000 feet and after being down at sea level in the winter I will be going up and get the messages. This last time I was in snow and was using 4X4 and lost all electronic functions such as 4x4, cruise control, etc., so I turned around. When I get back into cell service the alerts start clearing up, and when I get in the valley with full cell service all alerts reset. Has anyone else had this issue and know of a fix. Thought maybe it was a software update that get interrupted but have not had a software update in over a year. Ford doesn't have a clue.

Sure sounds like a battery issue - not sure why it would correlate with altitude though. I regularly bounce between 5k+ and near sea level

Does it only happen when using 4 wheel drive? And are you only using 4 wd when you are “up at elevation”? If so maybe, it’s not related to elevation, just a coincidence that you are at elevation when using 4wd and the 4x4 system is detecting an issue.

The first 3 times it happened in 2 WD, the first 2 time within a 1/4 mile of each other on the same stretch of road, the last 2 times in completely different locations but still up between 4500 and 6000 feet, and clears up when cell service is 100%, that's why I don't think it is a battery issue, Only happened 4 times in 3 years

Did you notice any strange lights in the sky when it was happening? Any unexplained loss of time?

No? Darn.

Then I’m wondering if it could be MAP sensor related since it’s an altitude (air pressure) phenomenon.

I live at 6,250’ elevation and use 4x4 whenever needed. No issues and I’ve had 2 Broncos. A BB and now HLE. Must be something else or perhaps have the dealership take a look at it if you can afford an arm for them to check it.

Maybe a wheel speed sensor.

I too live at +6000’ and regularly go up to +9000’ or down to 3000’. Have not experienced any electronic issues with altitude variations.

We have a 2024 Black Diamond and live near 6kft, no issues; including travelling from sea level to 10kft while off-roading.

Your issues occurring while in poor to no cell service seem more likely the issue than elevation.
I have no idea why they would relate unfortunately.
