Is there a way to do this? It’s a handy feature when towing or if someone is riding your bumper.
We could turn on the rear camera on our Gladiator. Why not the Bronco?

I towed a car on a trailer yesterday and wanted to take a look at the front straps without pulling over. My son went through all the screens on the infotainment and couldn’t find a way to do this.

Do you have FORScan? If so, try:

706-02-02

xxxF xxxx xx--

That is what enabled cameras in motion on the F150s/Lightnings. If it doesn't work, you can change it back to whatever is there. Worth a try.

I don’t but my list of things to try with Forscan is getting pretty long. Thanks!

Just curious - What car (and trailer) did you tow with your Bronco that didn’t exceed the 3500 pound tow capacity rating?

Lol there was a recall about how the backup camera could come on when in forward gears (when shifting from reverse to forward in 4L) and now we find out it was a feature all along

It would definitely be annoying if it was on all the time, plus it ties up the screen.

It wont allow the camera to come on above like 5mph or something.
Correct; the config within the IPMA to enable this does not seem to be enabled on the Broncos. After checking the a/b data off of 3 Broncos, none of them show an F in the xxxX xxxx xx-- location:

Ford Bronco Enable backup camera when driving? 1727452259327-pb

Ford Bronco Enable backup camera when driving? 1727452398268-k7

Ford Bronco Enable backup camera when driving? 1727452455879-6k

Changing that value to an F will enable all available camera views at speed:

Granted, the clip above is for the F150, but I still think it should work for you guys. There was an OTA sent out to F150's a while back ago that wiped the config that allowed cameras in motion to work. Ford added a guided routine to FDRS for dealers to flash the correct config back to fix the issue, and all it did was change whatever value was there to an F and problem solved.

I'll give it a shot this weekend and see if I can get it to work.

I've seen your posts and you seem to be quite knowledgeable, but jic you or anyone tries this, remember to go to the wrench icon in FORScan and reboot the IPMA after you write the config so the change goes into effect.

Yea, I can see how this looks foreign af, but it's VERY easy to do and making this change and rebooting the module would take take 1-2 minutes to do. If you want to do it, I'd be happy to walk you through it.
