OP: If I have factory fog lights and I swap to the steel bumper, would these lights work by directly connecting to the harness from the factory fog light and subsequently function with the factory designated button?

These use Cree XR_E LEDs which is a US manufacturer, the moldings, PCB, etc are assembled overseas. We do what we can to source US components and keep pricing and availability in line with what our customers want.

Yes, your scenario is probably the easiest installation since you already have cable leads right there. You can just connect the wiring to your existing fog light cables and use the factory switch to turn them on and off.

Black wire to any ground (there are several - look for black wires coming from negative battery cable) and connect red to whatever aux switch that is rated for amp draw. I think I am going with #1 for the triple fogs, but not sure, as I haven’t looked at amp draw yet. You just need to make sure you match the correct color coded aux wire — they are taped together near driver bulkhead.
