I have always enjoyed the idea of designing parts and modifying vehicles in a fashion that is considered OEM+. Build on what you already love without going too far, but make it your own. The factory trail sights are a cool concept, and for those that like it, I developed the Everest to improve that concept.
.
The Everest will be CNC cut from an appropriate alloy once settled on. With a slightly taller height it accentuates the existing trail sight without being an obstruction. A dimpled hexagon inside/outside face provides increased aesthetics with added aerodynamic efficiency. A larger/higher opening allows for easier attachment and the ability to use smaller carabiners. Four tapped forward facing counter sunk holes allows for adjustable mounting of accessories. You could even bolt in custom colored flush mounting hardware for pure design flare.
.
The Everest does not increase the factory load rating as it will still be using the OEM mounting location and hardware, but definitely provides a level of cool and functionality.
.
I will be 3D printing a sample piece over the weekend. Planning to have some installed pics next week. Let me know what you guys think.
