Does anyone happen to know the size of the gasket used with the sight delete? Mine did not come with them but since the crash delayed the install it is past return time and no response from the maker yet.
If your deletes are BluMak3D, there is no gasket.

I too just installed these Trailsight Deletes. I found them to be distracting and I will never use them as intended. I agree the body lines are not exotic car perfect but they are very livable.

I just posted some Pro Tips in this thread to help with that alignment.

Thanks for the BluMak3D Trail Sight Delete posts!

Here are some Pro Tips-

The stock trail sight does a great job of hiding any misalignments since the hood and fenders were never intended to meet at the nose of the Bronco. The stock trail sight gasket hides even more imperfections.

When installing our deletes, any Ford factory misalignment or skew of the hood will become noticeable since your eye has a very reasonable expectation of a level plane aesthetic between the hood, deletes, and fenders.

Keep in mind that Fords (and most other brand name autos) are mass produced, and there is/always has been a lot of "slop" in panel fitment.

With or without our deletes-
If you find yourself looking at some tweak in your hood, the first thing to do is-

•Adjust the rubber hood isolators which dictate the height of the corners of the hood when closed. You can thread them in or out to raise or lower each side of the hood. That should address any height variances.

If the hood is further away from the fender on one side, you can try-

•Loosening the delete and shifting it in the mounting hole. There's just a tiny bit of play there.

If the issue is more than that-

•Your hood mounting bolts can be loosened (do this with extreme care) and the hood can be shifted to align it properly.

About the product-

As the name of the company may elude- we 3D scanned the hood, fender, and trail sight mounting areas of a new Bronco to create the BluMak3D Trail Sight Deletes. The final product is made from nylon in industrial 3D printer. (Multi Jet Fusion).

Due to the precision of the scan/design/manufacturing process, and our experience with it all, any variation between examples or batches is typically microscopic. The only part of this product that can really have a variance is the brass inserts we install by hand.

We are a small company of 2 deeply experienced dudes who love cars and cool stuff. We rely on the quality of our products and our reputation to keep it going.

We personally make everything in house in San Diego, lay eyes on every single part that goes out the door, and truly care about customer experience.

We have other great stuff for your Bronco on our website too-

Well, I like the fact that you’re in my area. This is the first I have seen you website and products. The roof spotlight bracket in particular, the idea is very appealing. Now the question would be will it fit with my Hooke Road rack….. also can you make it so that it is more universal.

@Bellime -

Our current offerings fit directly to the Accessory Ready mounts over the windshield which is likely where your rack mounts too? It would have to be one or the other.

We do posses a mastery of product design and manufacturing. So if you have a concept in mind that you want us to help bring to life, we can be your design and manufacturing partner.

“Universal” mounts are pretty much what comes with most lights that you buy, so we stick to a specific brand of light when designing. This is after we test that light fully to make sure it’s up to our personal standards and that our design puts light in the optimal location and nowhere else.

The last thing we want to do is put out a bracket that somebody mounts a cheap shit looking light on that makes hood glare or wind noise/whistle.

Back when the Bronco was announced I wasn't a fan of the trailsights and I was going to make a million dollars designing and selling a trailsight delete. Of course that was just another pipe dream that never came to fruition
I don't see your name on the club listing....I'll add it and send you your membership card.

I love my Blumak3trail sight deletes. I like how they clean up the body line. They’ve been on a year and still look great. +1 to what Bryan said about adjusting the rubber bump stops for the hood to improve alignment. This is how I leveled mine out.

Thanks for this. Looking to get my hands on a set painted to match my cactus gray. Any thoughts on offering them in OEM colors?

More power to those who want to remove their trail sights, but I like them.

I think they're misnamed since they're only useful for a spotter. They're useless for the driver because of parallax. Plus the Bronco isn't a Jeep. The driver can see the corners. They're good for a spotter, but a spotter can always use the line between hood and fender, or the trail sight delete for a reference.

When I first looked at a Bronco I commented to the salesman, I see it has front tie downs. Not sure why Ford marketing decided to call them trail sights.

The Owner's Manual even calls them anchor points.
