Speedo calibration using ForScan...
I have Squatch pack from the factory but I just have to recalibrate speedo to get rid off the 2mph error Ford put in there.

Anyone know offhand what millimeter value they used to correct the error?
Thanks

Edit: the magic number for stock Squatch Bronco's is 2600mm

Not sure which way it's off.

At 334mm 65mph would now read as 66.98
At 296mm 65mph would now read as 63.02

2653mm is the stock Squatch number....
Speedo reads 102Km when I'm actually doing 100km
2% difference...
Not sure if I have to go bigger or smaller.
-2% is 2600mm
+2% is 2706mm
🤷
Waiting for my extended license renewal email to show up. Ugh

I think there’s a speedo calculator around here that tells you how to get it dialed exactly. You use GPS and you can input the gps speed and your Speedo reading and it’ll spit out the correction. Unless I was drunk but I’m pretty sure it exists.

Yesss I think that’s where it was. Either ours or the 2021 F-150. The 2021 and up models have their own unique quirks but I think you’re past those parts.

Found it

You should first figure the percentage you are off, say 80mph indicated is actually 82mph...

2mph is 1.6% of 80mph...

Then figure out what percentage of the current circumference is 1.6%

2653/100 = 26.5
26.5x1.6 = 42.448

If you're speed reads High, Subtract the number from the circumference value

2653 - 42 = 2611

There you have it!

Thanks... I'm 2% off, reading high...
I'll make adjustments to subtract 2% from my stock value.
2599.94 so 2600 👍🏻
Thanks!

For some reason this whole speedo recal thing doesn't feel like an exact science, which is weird because it should be.

On factory 285s my speedo read 60 and I'd be going 58. Now on 315s I'm going 61 when it says 60. I chose to leave the factory number alone, which was 2525. That sounds waaay too low based on all these calcs that show 26xx or even 27xx.

Lol my numbers are junk. Sorry, I tried to use an online calculator and did it incorrectly.

I'd say a lower number would reduce the speedo.
