Yes, but now you can watch one video instead of sifting through threads and multiple videos. It's not the end all be all, just a decent summary.I felt like she viewed the thread on this site on how to add those parts.
(Edited with more info 8/31/23) Finished mine yesterday. Sounds better for sure because it now has some bass kick, but the overall sound quality remains the same and I can live with it now. (Don't waste your money on this if you want great sound.) I left the cargo floor in and was able to get the panels out and back in just fine. I removed the sub assy and did the speaker swap on a table. Remember to cut the speaker wires right at the connectors because you need all the length you can get. There's a small plastic locator pin that will keep the speaker from sitting flush. I used a pair of flush cut pliers to remove it. I ended up using 2 different types of screws as I didn't have the amount I thought I had. Forscan was easy like others said. Windows 11 laptop, OBD2 adapter and free 2 month version of Forscan. How is the sound? Noticeable difference?
I wanted to put as much sound deadening in the back as possible or I probably would have left the cargo floor in. It really helped with the noise from my dirt road as well, the hard top created a hollow cN sound somewhat in washboard parts of the road.Finished mine yesterday. Sounds better for sure. Nice. I got all of my supplies delivered today. Did you have to remove the enclosure or did you just leave it there and attach the amp and sub?Finished mine yesterday. Sounds better for sure. It's easier if you remove it.Nice. I got all of my supplies delivered today. Did you have to remove the enclosure or did you just leave it there and attach the amp and sub?
Ok thanks! Now I gotta watch some more videos, perhaps that one recently linked above, and then I have to figure out Forscan. It's easier if you remove it.
Just 2 bolts and 2 nuts on the nottom.
Let us know if you have any questions. There is only 1 small change you will need to make.Ok thanks! Now I gotta watch some more videos, perhaps that one recently linked above, and then I have to figure out Forscan.
No you don’t have to remove any seats.Prob gonna go this route as it looks easy, but do you really have to remove the seat to get the panel off? Hate the idea of taking a new truck apart that much. Any way, thanks for all of the great info.
Thanks. Looking at AP's pics I was thinking "damn, I just want better sound." Since I don't have access to ForScan, shouldn't my dealer be able to turn on the sub for me?No you don’t have to remove any seats.
Just curious, why can’t you access Forscan? I bought that connector thing on Amazon, now I need to go to the Forscan website to download the program for Windows I believe. I also have no idea what I’m doing lol but I’ll watch those videos linked above.Thanks. Looking at AP's pics I was thinking "damn, I just want better sound."
