Got out on a beautiful fall day in the PNW. Explored an area on the foothills of the Olympic Mountains. Amazing views, dramatically changing weather, and solitude - what more could you ask for??

My dad had a spot out there up above Quilcene that we hunted from occasionally when I was a kid. It looks like you're up in that general area. I sure wish I could remember where exactly it was that he went up there. I always love seeing pics of the area back home. I definitely miss the location.

So cool! We love exploring out there. So many old decaying forestry roads that lead to neat places and views. There are several more we haven't ventured down yet.

I know Kitsap County pretty well. I grew up in Bremerton until High School when we moved to Shelton. Dad retired out of the shipyard. I do want to get back out there sometime and do some reminiscing.
