Has anyone experienced false positives with the lane change warning lights, i.e. lit up warning lights in side mirror(s) when no vehicles are anywhere near that side & zone? I got at least 10 of them a couple nights ago. It was dark and I was on a divided 4 lane road.

Did you get it fixed? What was it?

Of course, I'm just over 36k mi.... It's at the dealer now. TIA.

Are your tail lights clean? Those are where the sensors are located.

Can't say that I have on any of our vehicles that have it. However, I can fully see dirty tail lights (BLIS sensors) giving false positives. If the sensor is partially blocked it could act funky.

Not exactly the same but my wife had this with a 2013 Explorer. They replaced the sensors in the mirror once, that didn’t fix it though, they ended up replacing the BCM (going off memory, may have been another module)

The BLIS units are not under the taillights, tho'. I changed my taillights, and the BLIS boxes are under one of the body pieces that are removed to do it.

If you are close to a highway divider or a wall they can go off. Have that happen with my other cars as well.

On a Raptor it’s on the taillight assembly
