I am worried that people will steal them because they are too easy to remove.

It like hubcaps ... last time I rent a car in Miami someone steal the hubcaps on my rental.....

I hope they have better option ... I rather take little bit more time to undo then dealing will stolen fender flare....

If people want to steal something, they will find a way to do it!
Be it fender flares, wheels, tires. Heck even the safari bar might get stolen.

A risk that has to be considered. You can mitigate this risk with an alarm system

Not everyone is going to know how they are removed. If it happened, I'd be inclined to suspect another Bronco owner was the culprit.

Iā€™m sure there will be a solution to replace the quick release tabs with something that requires a tool.
Yes, previously invented for the Bronco and Trademarked by @North7

Bronco Flares Security Pins:
Torx security screws, aka, Barrel nut/screws, are common and available in multiple lengths.

What does everyone think people are going to do with all of these stolen fender flares?

How many non-Bronco enthusiasts will know the flares are easily removed?

How is this an issue?
Exactly, people steal things to resell or keep themselves. The market for stock fenders are going to be minimal at best ha. And I think it's safe to say NOBODY wants to steal the aftermarket options we've seen to date

Right, just like I said 5 posts back. :) Bronco owners would be the most likely suspect.

They're plastic so no one is going to yank them for scrap, I'm not worried

Just don't run with them, and when you get pulled over, you can tell the Po Po that they were stolen and you have another set ordered, but they have not arrived yet due to the part constraints. Then show Mr. Po Po the picture of the stuck cargo ship and be on your way.

When they stole the hubcaps on my rental car
It cost me 500$ to replace before I return the rental ....
Plastic or not it a commodity if a lot of people steal them because it easy ... you will have demanded to replace them....

Iā€™m sure there will be a solution but in the interim I imagine itā€™ll become a fun game for the yutes the steal them.

Just one or two on each flare should do the trick šŸ˜‰

Seeing the Demonstrations on how easy it is to modify the Bronco, How long will it be before you come out of Walmart or some store and find that someone took your Fender Flares in the 5 minutes you were away?
