1.49 is for their ‘car buying service’ but 1.99 for 60 is their new car rate. Penfed is great, highly recommend at least walking into the dealer with a pre-approved draft in hand
They sent me a check to fill out on purchase day. Easy peasy.

Did anyone try Ford? I got 0% on my wife's 2014 Escape but that was a model specific promotion at the time.

1.9% for 60 months. Credit unions are almost always better to deal with than traditional banks.

I highly doubt they’ll offer 0% on this. They have no need to.

1.89 via USAA. Same rate 48, 60, 72 months. I did 48 months with $5k down. At 1.89% it didn't make sense to pay it all up front when I could finance the whole amount for negligible interest.

I personally wasn't going to give Ford anymore business with Ford financing after all the BS with ordering.

Also, make sure your loan doesn't penalize you for early payoff and check for any loan origination fees and other hidden costs.

And they will beat any rate match request.

The best online rates come from DCU, then we get one local credit union to beat their rate, then go to our favorite credit union to get slightly lower than that. It's a stupid process but it typically gets up down to 2% or lower.

Agreed, at these rates it makes little sense to me to take an unnecessary liquidity hit
