Could you tell which directions the seats were adjustable? Obviously fore and aft and reclining, but do they adjust vertically or...?

Yes, I too was a little concerned about the amount of corrosion on these areas. Obviously it is pre-production but I would think they would have coated this thing to protect it. Perhaps not... I am not an expert haha.

I don't think these pre production broncos will be around long enough to go through the trouble of doing long term corrosion prevention measures, they'll probably be disected in a shop by engineers and destroyed in less than a year.

2nd is it is obvious some of you have never lived without AC , LOL .

I have, but that was in the 60's when most cars didn't have A/C. It was also Massachusetts, not Arizona.

I got here a little early and got a chance to snag a few pictures of the Bronco Two-Door Trail Rig Concept before they put it in the booth, but it does look like it will be roped off most of the time.

I snagged a video of them moving it as well. The noise before he starts moving is the removal of the electronic parking brake.

I'll check this thread for requests to get pictures of something specific. It is tough to see into the back right now, so I will see if they are willing to open the back up for some better interior pictures there.

I dislike either option with Race Red and will hope for a white contrast stitching and a black or gray for the rest.

Definitely understand where you're coming from and the long-term truth to your statement but I still think we're dealing with a different animal here. Look at all the dirt in the other areas including the wiring harness. There's even discoloration on the holes up high which would not line up with your suggestion.

Not the same color. That and the dirt on the wire harness is on the top (settled) and the 'rust' is encircling the opening with the greatest accumulation relative to the time of wetness. That is, the more water that comes out of the hole over time based on location, the greater accumulation of displaced rust. It is a legitimate concern and observation based on the history of this frame type.

For us Bronco Gals.....if you could snap a picture of a small statured adult in the drivers seat. It would be much appreciated. Not being able to see over the steering wheel might be a deal breaker....depending on how well that trail cam works

I'm 5'4 so I'd also like to know how the Vertical height is on this. I'd prefer a power seat like my Fusion but, if not power it at least needs to raise up

I would like to strongly caution everyone against assuming that the brown discoloration you see around some of the holes is corrosion or rust.

I have a theory, which is that you are actually seeing dirt. Not rust or corrosion. Look at everything circled in green. If what we're seeing was rust, I would expect to see it on ALL holes or surfaces with sharp edges.

Instead, we only see it on some surfaces, of holes that ALSO have a darker discoloration / "wet" appearance surrounding the hole (areas boxed in red).

Also, if you look at the original image in the first post and blow it up on a big screen, it's easy to see that the brown discoloration looks quite raised in appearance. Meaning, there's no way that much rust would stand up and out over this short time.

Finally, look at the other areas of the undercarriage. There is definitely this similar colored discoloration dirt everywhere. Especially on the differential.

Based on this, what I actually think we're seeing, is that there was some kind of fluid around the red boxed holes that left a residue and attracted dust / dirt from previous showcasings that has not been washed off.

Just a theory.

There's a post a few pages back that states that materials often get let out the door without proper coatings just to get the vehicle built, but on day one of production, that all changes. This very well could be rust.

Re: the interior quality debate, fit and finish like this will never pass at any price point in today’s market. If my Bronco showed up and the seat upholstery didn’t fit I’d be pretty tilted. I’ve got to believe Ford will work these kinks out ahead of production, just sucks that we’re seeing this on the “nice” press car, even if that car is a rugged off-roader.

No matter how many times we've been reminded that this stuff is all pre production and these were probably made in someone's garage, not an assembly line, people continue to point out every conceivable flaw. If you get one off the assembly line like that, then it's time to complain.

man, I’d like to see a race red IRL. My car now has a gorgeous interior. I stopped paying it any attention a month after I get it. The only thing I focus on is the dirt in the carpets and crevasses. I’ve been underwhelmed by all of the Interiors so far that I’ve seen so far on the Bronco, But I plan to get the wash out vinyl so hopefully the dirt won’t be a distraction. The hopefully that will be the nice looking active x they use on some of the other vehicles
