I'm installing the Oracle flush mount tail lights in place of my OEM halogens. Is it correct I can avoid using their included resistor, if I change settings in Forscan?

Oracle provides a list of Forscan changes when going from OEM LED to their tail lights. I assume that I will need to make those changes, but might also need to make some additional changes, maybe the same changes people make when swapping from OEM halogen to OEM LED?

Has anyone successfully swapped from halogen to Oracle LED without using the resistor? I've done some digging using the forum search function but no luck so far finding solid answers.
You have the Base so the Oracle Flush Mounts are a direct swap for the OEM halogen tails. No ForScan changes needed. The Forscan changes are only needed when replacing Signature Tails with the Oracle Flush Mounts.

Regarding the resistor. You will need it. Don't bother with their bracket. The area behind the body panel still gets a lot of environmental slop. You'll need to mount that resistor as high as possible to avoid future corrosion. When I had my Black Diamond, I mounted the resistor directly to the tub of the chassis with the adhesive tape.

I get what you're saying, but I've made Forscan changes for other things no problem (double honk, etc), so I don't mind making them for the tail lights. I'd like to avoid the potential failure point of the resistor if possible.

In that case, yes you can deactivate Rear Turn Outage monitoring for the rear in the Forscan settings.

So is this the solution to the issues that have been occurring with my Oracle flush tail lights not working properly / intermittently? Base Sasquatch with Oracle Flush tail lights (2 years old now).

Love the look of the lights, but when part of the LED fails to light up (intermittently happens) it isn’t safe.
