I’m pretty sure you want a Bronco Sport or a Toyota 4Runner. I’m saying that with all sincerity.

My concern is with the roof leaking -- a problem a buddy's Wrangler has.

Maryland gets some fierce storms with two inches of rain in 20 minutes.
I’m sure Ford considered that with the design. I have 2 Jeeps and neither leak, not even the beat up soft top

I wish there were a (non-removable) hardtop.

Not sure if this was ever asked but is it possible there will be a hard top model? Meaning a fixed/non removable roof.
It's called Bronco Sport

Take a look at the new Defender. They look way better in person compared to pictures online. The Defender 90 (2 door) is going to be awesome and you can get a huge glass roof.

When Ford spent a boat load of Money to Rival Jeep Wrangler in ever aspect trying to create a Superior Product, why would they give a Brownie Point to Jeep and lose new Buyers?

I want a Hard Top as well but at least those few days when the Temp hits between 80-90 in New England Area I could remove it, otherwise I would never remove it.
Few days 80-90 where do you live the tip of ME? I’m in MA and it’s 80-90 from June to mid September.

No kidding, right? We are in Northern Ma. We put my wife’s soft top on the end on May and only had the windows one once or twice until the hard top went back on in October. The few times it rained it stayed in the garage

This is totally unacceptable. I heard that if you cancel your reservation they will give you your money back and let you buy a fixed hard top Sport or any other SuV to haul the kids to soccer.

I know it's terrible but I think at least a few thousand of us should cancel just to prove a point (just sayin').

Hi everyone, I would really love to have a fixed roof and doors Bronco. I get that Ford is trying to compete with wrangler but there are a lot of us out there that want a rugged body on frame SUV that is more capable off-road than a 4runner, less expensive than a land cruiser and better designed specifically for offroad and camping use. This is why used FJ80, 100 series and FJ cruisers are so expensive right now. People are importing old LCs with 200K miles and selling them for the price of a new SUV in this country. There is real demand for a dependable and capable offroader that is suited for overland type and long offroad trips.
Designing a body with removable top adds to complexity, cost and weight. Introduces noise, leaks and more things to go wrong and results in a less rigid and less safe vehicle cabin. I use my 4x4 for long off-road trips and I would never take the top or doors off for such trips. It just doesn't make sense to have dust fill my entire car, not be protected from the elements and expose my valuables in sketchy locations. If I was taking a day trip to the beach, maybe. But that's probably 1 day out of the year and I don't really care for it. For me, having the a removal top is a compromise.
I really hope Ford gets this and creates another Bronco version for us.
