the protocol for US flags on cars is allowed.Do you need the Sasquatch package to have enough ground clearance for some of these 'Straight outta mom's basement' guys, though?

there is no protocol for not allowing a flag to fly on a vehicle ..as long as its properly lighted at night. Same with boats and ships etc.I never thought about U.S. flag protocol until I did Boys State with the American Legion when I was 17. Those old guys took flag protocol SERIOUSLY, and took it as an insult to their service if they ever saw a tattered flag being flown, a flag being flown 'casually', flag clothing/gear, or the flag touching anything but a flagpole.
This 'Stars and Stripes attached to the back of a truck' violates most of those things above, so personally I would never dream of flying a U.S. flag on anything but a stationary flagpole. To each their own, but understand that many older vets will take it differently than you intended.
Have at it with your Husker flag though; friendliest college football fans on earth.
