3 model years in. They’ve cut models, packages and options. Can’t build a decent hardtop. And, they think they can produce enough for the global market. More Farley fantasies.
They will build and pay for the plant in China and the CCP will build them. Can only deliver one bad top in China or else.

Facts. A main reason why a domestic auto producer cant compete price-wise.
If only a Chinese company like Honda could successfully build cars in the US and still make money...

I see your point, but Honda is a 75 year old Japanese company.
True, but Honda is not successful because of anything to do with China. Japan's relationship with China is even chillier than ours. And Ford is a 120 year old company who has been manufacturing in the US that whole time.

So for those not keeping track...

Bronco is offered in the...
  • United States
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Middle East
  • South Korea
  • Mainland Europe (namely Germany)
And soon... China.

Just blows my mind they haven't yet sold it in the Australian market. Makes no sense to me... because it seems like it would be perfect for Australia. I'm guessing the only reason why it isn't is because Aussies inherited left-hand traffic from England.

Ya'll are thinking about this all wrong...

The Bronco in the release photo is NOT a Sasquatch, NOT a hardtop, and NOT a two door... and I am just guessing on this one... probably not a stick-shift either.

If Ford couldn't fill its domestic orders, it was mainly because we all wanted whatever the best Ford offered, even if the were hoping we would all buy just whatever they had parts for.

April 18, 2023, Shanghai, China – Ford Motor Company showcased today an all-star lineup of its most rugged off-road pickups and SUVs at the 20thShanghai International Auto Show, including the debut of Ford Explorer Timberline, reveal of Ford Ranger that will be produced in China, and demonstrate Ford Bronco ahead of its upcoming sale in the Chinese market.

At Auto Shanghai, the company released pricing details for Ford Edge L, a model specially built for family road trips with Ford's latest hybrid technology, with a price ranging from RMB 229,800 to 309,800.

Ford is also showcasing the upcoming Mustang Mach-E GT Twister as well as the F-150 Raptor at the booth.

"The Chinese market holds strategic significance for Ford," said Sam Wu, president and CEO of Ford China. " At the show, this must-have Ford showcase offers features that bring to life the brand’s strengths to create products and experiences that resonate with Chinese customers."

Ford Explorer Timberline debuts at Auto Shanghai

As the most capable Explorer ever, Ford Explorer Timberline made its official debut in China.
It is more advanced in terms of outdoor-inspired design and capabilities, including the unique Altyn Tagh Orange exterior color, the contrasted-color interior design with contour pattern, and the mountain pattern elements throughout the car, highlighting an exclusive sense of identity.

The Ford Explorer Timberline is equipped with a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, REVO3 all-terrain tires, and a higher ground clearance than the normal Explorer, bringing a more capable driving experience to meet Chinese customers’ needs for outdoor exploration.

Introducing Ford Ranger, to be locally manufactured in China

At Auto Shanghai, Ford also debuted the next generation Ranger – the versatile midsize pickup truck that is “Built Ford Tough.” The pickup will soon be introduced in China, demonstrating that every Ford truck is built and tested to exceed customer expectations for durability, quality, reliability and capability.

Since 1982, five generations of Ford Ranger have set the benchmark in the mid-sized pickup truck segment, with more than eight million units sold globally.

Fine-tuned through the feedback of Ford pickup owners worldwide, Ranger has proven its capability in challenging off-road conditions, with vehicle testing demonstrating its ability to cover 1.5 million kilometers, the equivalent of circling the earth 40 times.

To fully meet customization and modification that pickup truck fans need, Ford provides optional OEM accessories for Ranger that are fully homologated to Chinese customers.

Iconic Ford Bronco off-road SUV is coming to China

Today at Auto Shanghai, Ford also announced that the legendary Ford Bronco will be sold in the Chinese market. With a legacy of over 50 years, Ford Bronco delivers thrilling off-road experiences with heritage-inspired style, rugged engineering and smart technology.

Built to conquer all terrains, Ford Bronco features advanced four-wheel-drive technologies and chassis architecture that bolster the SUV’s off-road capabilities. Since its North American debut in 2020, Ford Bronco has been enthusiastically sought after by fans around the world.

Ranging from RMB 229,800 to 309,800, Ford Edge L is the ultimate choice for family road trips

In addition, Ford announced the MSRP for Ford Edge L, which ranges from RMB 229,800 to 309,800.

Featuring a five-meter body size and wheelbase of nearly three meters, Ford Edge L innovatively adopts a 2+2+3 seat layout that offers spacious interior space. Powered by Ford's latest hybrid system, Ford Edge L is capable of achieving 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. With fuel consumption of 6.3 liters per 100 km (under WLTC conditions) and driving range of 1,188 km, Ford Edge L eliminates mileage anxiety by combining fuel economy with fun-to-drive features.

The 2023 Shanghai International Auto Show will be held from April 18 to April 27. All media and general visitors are cordially invited to visit the Ford booth located in Hall 8.2 to explore outdoor adventurous experience with Ford Motor Company.

Where is Honda headquartered at? Where is Ford headquartered at? There’s a little more to the equation at play there.
