I hear you. It's just the risk you take when modifying a vehicle. Whether it's with factory supported parts or not. Everything is a case by case basis. The main thing is they can't void your entire warranty over anything. It has to be a reasonable assumption that the aftermarket part caused the failure. And some dealers are more lenient than others. Kind of the same if there is a failure while Offroad. You can run into the same scenario. It's always a risk.

Factory hardtops are not covered? So if there is a defect in the factory hard top or failure it’s just normal wear and tear and not covered? Wow.

@Aking325 If it is a defect from the factory then that would be covered under the 3 yr/36k mile Factory warranty from Ford, it would not be covered under the extended warranty.

The coverage is only good if it is a Ford part installed by a Ford tech. Since it is not a Ford part, it will not be covered under the warranty, So it would void that part of the warranty or any parts that touch that part. It does look like that part comes with its only limited warranty.

Long shot but have a buddy with a Chevy Z71, very similar to an AT4. Anyhow he is about out of warranty and curious if there is a GM equivalent of this deal? Just trying to help a friend. Appreciate any feedback.

To qualify, your vehicle must be 2014 or newer, under 80,000 miles and over 41 months and/or 40,999 miles from the original in-service date.
