Ford Canceling orders?

I ordered and put money down on a hard top outer banks over 2 years ago. This money my dealer called me and said Ford is offering 2500 dollars to drop down to a soft top base model or risk Ford canceling my order. I didn't wait 2 years for a soft top. Has anyone heard anything? Is Ford really willing to do that to everyone that has been waiting?

Orders that are left at the end of MY23 are expected to be cancelled (or at least lose price protection).

Ford seems to finally be putting real effort into clearing the existing orders. They are still building constrained items. They are just offering the incentive to clear as much as possible.

@Ford Motor Company does not care about any single Bronco order. They know every Bronco made will sell whether they fulfill an order on not. Just the greedy big business world that we live in.
