That's crazy, my OBX was $47,953 with 2.7, Adv4x4, Lux, Tow, and MIC. You must have done the Sasquatch with leather-trimmed vinyl with every other conceivable option in a 4 door.

Welp, after all this waiting... no First Edition for me.

Just got a call from my dealership saying they got a call from Ford today stating that my vehicle was declared a total loss at the factory.

"Something happened between the day it was built and today, where your vehicle was declared a total loss".

They said they cannot give me another first edition, but can have a 22 built for me right away, or a Raptor for MSRP.

VIN doesn't even show up in the system anymore.

Wow, that really sucks. If you ordered the FE for potential value down the road being its limited availability then I'd go with the RAPTOR and push them to get you an early one. But even at MSRP the RAPTOR will be considerably more, right?

If you go the Raptor route make sure you get something in writing from the dealership saying it's for MSRP with no ADM when you place the order not just Ford. Remember, the dealership sets the final sales price, not Ford.

Agreed...I wanted the 7MT and Lux, so the Badlands was the only option. The wash out floors and MGV are icing on the cake!

Honestly, the FE never made sense unless you just had to have a Bronco in whatever blue that was only available on an FE. There was nothing special or unique about the FEs, and you didn't even get them first. I'd consider not having to buy an overpriced 21 model when people are already getting their 22 models a blessing. Get the Raptor at MSRP. Keep it or flip it, but for the money it at least makes a lot more sense than buying a FE.

Meh. I don't entirely agree with this. The FE allowed for a combination you couldn't get any other way and was worth it IMO. It was the only configuration for '21 I really liked.

Ford should just re-use his VIN and build one more FE. They could easily build another if they really wanted.
