I have a 2.7l OBX 2dr non-sas. I’ve been upgrading and have reached the point where I’m planning out the suspension work. I’m aiming for a 3.5” lift and will be getting new UCAs, adjustable panhard, bracket and rear sway bar. My goal is to get a firmer ride than the Hitachis, lessen body roll and brake dive. I’m on pavement 90% of the time and when off-road, it’s very light duty. Recommendations?

FP and 6112 are essentially the same, exact the FP aren't adjustable. Don't waste your time with the FP's.

A lot of people on the forum have been impressed with both the 6112's, but most seem to agree the Eibach's are a tad softer than the 6112's. Most agree they are both excellent shocks and substantial upgrades over the Hitachi's.

Do you know if the ProComps are worth it? The low price is attractive but I haven’t seen as much talk about them as the others.

Apparently they are the same the 4WP coilovers, and many members have those and really like them.

Snacktime, Brian_B and NorcalGXP I believe all have them.

Then probably any of the above are an overkill, particularly the 3.5" lift. But hey, yo rig, yo money.

I don't think the 6112s produce anything less than 4" lift on the 2dr at the lowest setting. There may not be much adjustability. The FP version of the 2D has springs tuned for 2D, but may result in quite a bit of rake @Aonarch has/had them so perhaps he can comment. Don't know anything about the Eibachs besides what has been written in this forum.

The piston diameter of the 6112s is larger. I have them on my 4D and did not notice particularly notable difference on asphalt relative to the Hitachi.

4WP did rebrand as ProComp - (1 of my 4 had a ProComp sticker, the other 3 were 4WP) — so without seeing the link it’s probably the same thing

For under $1,500 for all 4 tires they are totally worth it. Just realize they are going to give you lift, even at minimum settings: roughly 2.5” over stock non-SAS, or about 0.5” over SAS. And go up from there. Fully adjustable height, which at this price is very nice to have.

They won’t compete against the custom tuned suspensions - but those cost 2-5x more. I’ve been happy with them but I don’t wheel nearly as hard as many folks here do

Thanks, I think these are what I’m going to go with.

Did you consider the Eibachs and if so why did you pick the 4WP? It seems like they are very similar but 4WP is less expensive. Did oyu change your UCA's or anything else?

To be honest - I wasn’t really in the market for a suspension upgrade but, being on the Hitachi OEM with a 2.5” puck lift - I knew I wanted to get off the puck sooner than later. So I jumped on the 4WP deal before it went away.

I did have UCAs from my previous 2.5” lift, as well as a rear sway bar relocation bracket. I would recommend both if you are coming from HOSS 1.

I’ve been really happy with them. I don’t wheel nearly as hard as some folks around here but they handle the 4-6 rated trails I tend to run just fine, and have plenty of room for lift if you want to. I keep mine as low as they can go, and they are still taller than the 2.5” kit I had before.

I was looking at another thread and I think that one vendor on here still has the 4WP package for fronts, rears and UCA for a pretty reasonable number so may go that route instead of eibachs. I wont be wheeling very hard either
