Frame Horn Reinforcement Aftermarket Options – Master List & Guide

I've been researching my options lately and figured I’d share the information I’ve collected in case it helps others doing the same. I’m still undecided on which kit I’ll go with, so in addition to feedback on the different options, let us know how the install went and which one you’d recommend—and why.

This thread is a master list of frame horn reinforcement options currently available (Listed prices as of June 2025). The goal is to make it easier for members to compare features, installation requirements, and overall value.

I'll keep the list updated as new products come out or as people post their experiences. If you know of another option or have used one of the kits listed, feel free to chime in with feedback or photos!

I have the A.D.D. ones. Had to modify the factory nut plate.

I used the ADD, the reinforcement would not fit as designed. Had to cut and bevel the bottom to fit within the frame. Cutting the factory nut plate was not a big issue, but was a bit tenuous to torque.
Would not use them again.

Doesn't the Ford Performance winch kit come with re-enforcements? May not be able to buy them separately, but enough people bought the kit just for the winch that I've seen them floating around.

I did LOBO. Easy install, strong but not too heavy.

Steps 17/18/19 show installation of the Ford renforcement bracket - it's a 3-piece thing that replaces the standard nut plate the front bumper bolts on to.

Great info. I flat tow mine and have a winch so I installed the LOD brackets (because @Tricky Mike ‘s aren’t available) and had to modify something, don’t remember what.
ALSO, I have a Fab Fours bumper that has extra plates underneath that allows 4 extra bolts. So I’m confident the bumper will stay put.

Surely the price on TD Distributing's product is wrong? If not, it must have been part of some massive kit. Or, I suppose that's why it's no longer being sold. I'd like to meet the customers who have $10K available to purchase a frame horn reinforcement.

Price is a joke I guess since Mike won’t make them anymore.
And now that I look at them again, wouldn’t have worked with my bumper anyway.
