I agree it's too short, but my foot has never slipped off the pedal. My issue is that the short and narrow pedal makes it very difficult to downshift cleanly. It's too short to blip the throttle with my heel and too narrow to roll my foot to achieve the same.

First thing I noticed when I test drove one last year...my foot slipped 3 times on a 5-10 minute drive. It was the same way for the first couple drives when I picked up my own, but I guess my body got used to it since it never happened again. I have size 12 shoes too. Most of my other vehicles have floor hinged pedals, so maybe thats why...

I saw this thread yesterday, last night my foot slipped off the pedal. I didn't notice anything before but it only seems to happen to me with flip-flops on lol Does Ford make an offroad-ready shoe?

Yes. If you reserve a pair now, you should get them by 2025…

I assume short legs that don't allow your heel to be in contact with the floor?
maybe small feet...you know they say about people with small feet....

So.... I looked at my pedals today. ...

Is there supposed to be rubber on the gas pedal?

I was about to say yes absolutely there should be rubber on there.... But then I went and looked and mine doesn't have it either, looks exactly like yours, never noticed that until now.

WTF? How are we just noticing this now? 🤫

I need to know more, it's it everyone? Or model specific?

I only noticed because i was thinking of the mabett pedal covers, and i have a manual, so it won't fit brake pedal. But looks like i need one for the gas

If this is the case, no wonder OP foot is slipping
