Feels like mine can slip off the clutch if I'm not paying attention. Could be the rubber on the pedal or shoes

I assume short legs that don't allow your heel to be in contact with the floor?

Also could be dealer prep, if they wiped something on the pedal.

What i would do

1. See if pedal is attached firmly, or if it wobbles
2. Clean pedal with anti grease something, like windex or dawn
3. Try another pair footwear

I haven't looked at mine, it's been too hot to do much outside here. But i have the base too, could just be crap rubber and small pedal, but like i said, i haven't looked at it

Could just be a different pedal than your last vehicle and you need to get used to it

But i get what you are saying about it feeling like it slips.

There is another person here who has the manual trans. And with the manual trans, if you let off the clutch the car moves fwd(without you needing to apply gas). His foot slipped off clutch And he rearended a truck

So yeah, the concern is valid

My size 16 Sasquatch sized feet have no problem not covering the pedals. If anything I could use a bit more space between the dead pedal and the clutch.

OK, then maybe elaborate on what the issue is. Never experienced too short a pedal, so...
If your heel is on the floor, your foot isn't going anywhere.

I keep the seat all the way back, might be slippery I’ll try that but it seems short

IT's not really the length, but the width that affects the feel. Some people even say the size doesn't matter at all, it's how you rev the engine ;)

He has normal legs and a tiny torso.
