I wonder if the difference has to do with trim levels. Mine has a plastic pedal but I also have the rubberized flooring. Do the models that come with carpet have a rubber gas pedal?

It does? Your gas pedal has rubber on it from the factory?
It's a rubber or plastic. Also, please excuse the mud.

I honestly don't know how you guys are having your foot slip off the gas pedal. Like, at the bottom? Or off the side? I don't get it.

As @Razorbak86 mentioned, your foot should be able to slide up and down the pedal as your heel stays planted. If your foot slips off the bottom, you need to slide your seat forward.

I have a size 14 I cant drive with it planted in the floor its probably much further back and more centered in between gas and brake than other people i am also 6 ft 3 couldn't move the seat up and still fit lol

There is no rubber cover on it
The brake pedal on the left is metal, covered with a rubber pad. The accelerator pedal on the right is a composite, with no rubber pad.

The rubber pad on the brake pedal can be easily removed. (Same for the clutch pedal on models with the 7-speed manual transmission.)

Oh, so it's plastic. If you look at it closely, the whole thing is one big piece of molded plastic.

I wonder of the people answering yes to the poll don't realize that's not rubber...

So your foot is slipping down between the pedals then?

Mud is normal -- supposed to look like that...
The need for washout floors were a big factor in picking my trim level.

That is exactly what happened to me.

Dammit people! Who voted yes? I need pictures😅

I seriously thought this would be the easiest poll...

You could post a poll asking people if their steering wheel is on the left or the right, and you'd get people saying, "Well, I wasn't sure if you meant when looking at it from the front, or..."

Internal parts catalog suggests there is no rubber version of the gas pedal.

Which means...
  • A handful of you are liars... OR....
  • There was a gas pedal with a rubber pad but that original part has been superseded.
