GOAT Fabrication Rock Sliders installed - review & photos

Pulled the trigger on a set of 4 door GOAT Fabrication rock sliders. It was a no brainer as they are local and I could save shipping. Spoke with Adam on the phone half a dozen times before ordering. Customer service was top notch. Installation went well.

Best piece of advice I can give is leave all hardware loose until you get all hardware started by hand. After that tighten it up and you’re ready to rock!

I didn’t get the pinch seam covers at the time of this order. I will likely be calling Adam to get them ordered soon though. Love the way it looked on his rig.

Compare these to anything on the market. My bet is GOAT uses thicker material, better powdercoat process and is “made in America” (2 words according to prez). Grabbed a few pics at the local off-road park. Looking forward to our trip out west in the spring.

Looks good.

On the pinch welds: I just taped off, scuffed with 100 grit sandpaper, and flat black rattle canned my pinch welds. Holding up nicely.

I can also attest to the Goat Sliders working well first hand. I was at Trail Hero last week, in Sand Hollow Utah. I did a few 7 rated trails and landed, and slid, over rocks with the full weight of the Bronco on them. They held up perfect, other than some rash on the under side. Great Product

Did you guys install these yourselves? I have a set on order.....to be delivered Monday. They look pretty simple to install. Any troubles/issues? How much time did it take given they advertise as "bolt-on"??

That is what it looked like. I asked my son if I could bring them to his shop on Monday when they are due to arrive so that I can use his lift to make it easier. Told him it seemed we could do it together in less than an hour. He was skeptical and has seen some really shoddy shit on pickups that come to his shop. I think it will be easy with the right lift and tools......and his help.

Good tip on the jack stands. My Goat Fab sliders have shipped and I'll be installing solo.

Install realistically is about 15 minutes per side while on the ground with a second set of hands.

Well installed them today!

Took about an hour and half since I was solo installing.

One tip, if you don't have jack stands, use the box.

Installed the pinch seam covers on my new wildtrak. Waiting for my GOAT sliders to arrive (2nd set). Bolted right on with no issues. Fit under the rear inner fender perfectly too.

Are you putting the goat sliders on this Bronco with the pinch seam covers? Wonder if it will fit given the tight tolerances on the sliders. Not much wiggle room.
