Hard top - rear electronics

So I have the opportunity to order NOW with delivery in August. BUT...It has to be with the soft top only. Now Ive heard that if you dont get it with the hard top that the wiring and plumbing wont be there. So imagine how torn I am. I know its just the rear defrost and wipers but you use them eventually and its the principle of having the hard top totally nonfunctional. Should I wait??? SO torn!

This is the main reason I haven't switched to a soft top. I want the option in the future to have a fully functional hard top. If they included all the wiring and plumbing in the soft top, I would switch right now.

There's no point or sense in trying to "game" a system when we don't even full know the rules.

i dont know an exact delivery date, but I’m able to order now with delivery late summer.

Exactly what Zach said. So tired of folks trying to figure out how to game the system over which you have NO control!!! None! Even IF you manage to maybe get it right....what happens when the supply chain for the harness goes south? You cannot control any of this. Get what you want, relax, it'll be here when it's here.

I just switched from dual with MIC to soft only. Still unlikely but I'd save $1800 and get $1000 in ford points.

Will pick up MIC later, figure I'd add wiring later for defrost (don't care about wiper). If that don't work, remote start will.

If I hit September and go MY 22 anyway I'll switch back.

You may be right but this is what I was told be the salesman at the dealership. Im leaning towards waiting. Not having the electronics and plumbing for the hard top will irk me to no end lol

I don't know about that......i seen a post a few days ago where someone reserved in April and had a VIN already. Which of course i think is absolute BS when day one/hour one reservations are hung out to dry. I don't care to hear the excuses either.
