Hi everybody! This is my first post as a soon-to-be Bronco owner.

After weeks of research and months of saving, I finally put in my order with a dealer for my 4 door 2025 Ford Bronco Outerbanks. We paid our $500 deposit with the dealer but outside of a very generic receipt we got from them (which didn’t list out the details of our order) we have not heard anything else about our order.

a few questions for those of you who have gone through the ordering process:
1) when we sent in our order via email, i included the link to the Bronco we want with the specs all built out. Is the price we saw on the website the price that we will pay when it arrives on the lot?
2) what are the steps in the process from here? Do I work directly with my dealer or will I be hearing from ford directly?
3) what are the ballpark timelines for when it will arrive on the lot?

thanks in advance!

Question for your dealer. You are buying the vehicle from the dealer, so pricing is ultimately between yourself and the dealer.
2) what are the steps in the process from here? Do I work directly with my dealer or will I be hearing from ford directly?
If your dealer attached your email to your order, you'll get an automated confirmation email when your order is submitted and also a second email when it is scheduled for production. If they didn't add your email to the order... then you won't hear anything from Ford, you'll have to reach out to the dealership you ordered from.
3) what are the ballpark timelines for when it will arrive on the lot?
Ultimately depends on what you ordered, production schedules, your dealer's allocations, etc. But typical is 3-6 months.

So you don't have an agreed price w/ the dealer?

We customized the vehicle on the ford site with all our options and sent that link (which included the price) to the ford dealer who then placed our order and took our deposit. So we know the price, my question is if it’s locked in at that price given we ordered it or if in a few months let’s say there’s an increase due to tariffs or something that the price may change?

thanks! very helpful. I will contact the dealer about the pricing question and yes, we just actually received our confirmation email from Ford this morning!!! Super excited about it. Fingers crossed it takes closer to three than six months, but we will see😊

Gotcha. If the dealer agreed to the price that you sent in the link you should be all set. Is the agreed sale price listed on your deposit receipt?

No price is set in stone yet based on your just ordering it from the Ford build site. When it arrives the dealer could add on $5000 markup if they wanted or could subtract $6000 off the msrp. Not likely for either but it could legally happen.
You still have the ability to haggle on the final price when it arrives, it all depends on the salesman. If they can sell it asap they might not be willing to deal, if they don’t want to hassle with trying to sell it they might be willing to make a deal if they feel you will walk.

You should ask the dealer to send you a copy of the order summary/preview order screen. This way you can verify they actually ordered it correctly, and that should also show MSRP and invoice pricing. It also will show the dealer order#, as well as priority code. You will need order# to track order later in case you don't get the email.

Your order should qualify for the Employee Pricing promo that is currently in effect. The promo applies to both dealer stock and special order vehicles (must place order by 7/7/25). Ask your dealer for a copy of the DORA--when you call or stop in, ask to speak to a new car manager or the inventory manager, your salesperson may give you a blank stare and not know what you mean.

All true! When I ordered my 23WTLUX, it took 1000 years for it to get built and arrive. Once there, and once sitting on the prep station area, tires all shiny and vehicle dressed up, waiting for me to take delivery, the salesman began his BS game of dealer-add ons. I was not prepared for that, as I thought pre-order meant "no hassle," and "no haggle." Come to the delivery day with your A-game and be prepared to walk away if your dealership starts doing that BS! Don't let the long wait ferment into an emotional buy when faced with a crap deal. Stay detached, INFORMED about the vehicle and stay focused! Best of luck.
