My only problem with Goat Fab is I like the look of Expedition One's step slider and they are cheaper. Also, they mount in the same locations which would lead to me assuming both would be the same as far as strength. How do you like your rack? I am thinking of getting one to increase my Bronco's utility. I have already done lumber transport once with four eight foot 4 by 4's sticking out the back.

Truth be told, I haven’t needed to or used the rack yet, other than mounting an awning, which is awesome. Heretic light is awesome and did have a chance to use that this past weekend for some evening wheeling. Anxious to get my kayak on it. Overall, like it!

The photos on their site...some of the worst welding I've seen to date. Here's one...

Build update:
  • 1” RC level kit added - The stance seems correct now with ever so slight rake.
  • Modular bumper air dams removed - It looks better that way.
  • 2nd steps added at request of my 3yr old “Where is my step Daddy?” - I bought as a set of 4 but never put second on until he got opinionated and whats to be like me in everything.
  • 2nd OEM tow eye add in rear. - A used item at low cost from Bronco Outfitters in Houston shipped to my house.

After thought… I also removed that silly keypad from the driver door. Other than in the fuel door, I don’t know where I would put it. I am debating never putting it back on, we never use them.

Glad I tired the OEM sliders with IAG steps. I don’t care for that step level, and ordered RCI sliders on Tuesday. I put the running boards back on and does not look as bad now while I wait 6-8 weeks. Yeah guys that quite a delay.

RCI sliders and IAG shock mount skid plates installed. There was some minor shipping damaged to slider power coat and to avoid another 8 week wait we used some can coating on the spots. RCI is sending the pinch weld cover complementary for my trouble and understanding. Yes they are already dirty.

How are those ARB skids holding up?
The ARB skids are holding up well. However if you have the 2.3L you will need do some fiting to prevent a growning sound where they contact the frame(image below with circled areas). I called ARB USA and confirmed these were designed for both models but only tested for fit on the 2.7L which as the additional cross members. They are execllent on draining mud/water and under carrage ventilation which is my objective considering the location of transmission cool on 2.3L.

Status Update:
RCI pinch weld covers added. It does make it look better.
I believe the next items will be a Bumpers. I am considering the following, any input would be great.
  • Front bumper :
    • 70% set on Icon winch bumper as it tucks up everthing but will have mount my fog lights.
    • ADD Krawler Front Bumper but gosh that price.
  • Rear brumper:
    • 90% set on the Expidition One as it transfers the rear tire weight to frame but will need a license plate solution.
    • ADD Bomber Rear but will need to reinforce tail gate and license plate solution.
I can't find any true heritage style ones for or I would go that way. Thanks for reading.
