Hitch delay

In the same boat as all of you. Picked up my 24 Badlands on Saturday the 27th. No trailer hitch. Was told it would be shipped separately. They said they would order another one and give me a call when it’s ready to install. I just called the dealership and asked the status and was told it’s sitting there waiting for me! Have it scheduled to be installed on Saturday.

Was told by the dealership it would take four hours to install and they’d have to cut the bumper. Scheduling person said he came from Subaru and that’s what they had to do there. Admitted he did not know anything about Fords. Sounds like the dealership doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Will let you know on Saturday afternoon how long it really took

Dealer tried to install an incorrect hitch and wiring to the bronco. Appears it was a kit for a bronco sport. Still no hitch. This is the wiring harness they wanted to install.

Any idea what the correct wiring and hitch part numbers are?

Good they prewired it. Is that standard on the Everglades? Will have to check mine to see if they prewired my WT.

It's not completely wired. I just installed one on a customer's Bronco yesterday and there is a little bit of wiring in the engine bay but all the long wiring has been run

I bought mine the day after it arrived. I forgot to check the hitch was installed and when I checked the following day I realized it wasn’t installed. Few hours later my salesman showed me a picture of the box the hitch came in. I got it installed the next morning.

If you need a hitch so bad, it's $100 and 4 bolts

Ford should just be issuing credits if they're really that backlogged. Of course if all of the '24s are coming pre-wired then there's no point in waiting for the OE one at all.

Is there any instructions out there or how much of a pain is this? I picked up my Bronco 2.5 hours from me and they plan on sending me the hitch once it lands. It looks like it was prewired and I figured 4 bolts and the pigtail plugging in.

I picked it up on Jan 29th and still waiting on it.

No additional wiring according to the instructions. Basically install the receiver, plug in the trailer connector, install the module and then it needs to be programmed.

Really? Did you order the tow package when you ordered your Bronco. The cost of install is included. Or is it just because you don't want to make that long drive back and forth?

My dealer ordered the hitch when I picked up my Badlands. It took about 2 weeks to get in and I was able to get it installed the next day.

This exactly. I’ve been playing Uber for my daughter and didn’t want to wait to pick up the Bronco!

Its a little more than 4 bolts. You have to pull the left hand rear load space panel and install the tow module there. The wiring to that is already run, but then there is a connector in the left front wheel wheel that has to have a few wires added to and then it has to be programmed with FDRS

My understanding was the '24 came completely prewired and the above process was for the previous years.
