For the rivnuts I have a half inch drill bit is the closest size I have without being too big. It's snug enough that I have to tap it in with a bolt partially threaded in. Makes it super tight which of course is great for rim nuts. I could put the calipers on it tonight and give you an exact measurement if you like?
Or a link to the riv-nuts you used or recommend. I can pull some measurements myself

I’m waiting until I can afford to swap the 190 diff out for the bigger one, hopefully in 2025.
FYI, I heard from another that the ford performance M210 actually uses the M14 bolts at the rear section, like the M190 kit. Everything else is the same. OEM M210 = M12 +collar, OEM M190/FP 210 = M14 + dowel

Cool. I just don’t want the parts sitting here. I’m subject to mis-placing them lol. I’m not lifted enough yet to need the diff drop but when I go to 37’s I plan to lift some more. M210 and rack upgrade will come first.

Talk to me if you go with the FP M210, as I will likely have a spare M190 diff drop (I have one of each - the M210 and M190 version).

The rivnuts I have are just a variety pack that came with the tool off Amazon.
They measure .507"/ 12.88mm.
I guess that's why half inch works pretty good if I waller it out just a little and tap it in.

For what it's worth the one I installed was the FP M210 and this kit worked perfect with no issues.

Interesting, I guess whatever the case if you get a new diff double check the rear bolt size. I wouldn't be surprised if both versions are floating around after a design change.

I hope you don't mind me bringing this back up!! I just wanted to ask the members who have installed this, what their impressions are ?

Is the angle of the tie rods visibly different?

Have you noticed any signs of improvement?

Please give your thoughts on this...... thanks.

I have purchased the Pro comp coil over kit with upper control arms, JKS max tire kit, a 1 inch body lift. and the rock Jock rear bracket.
Seriously considering this Drop Bracket.

I've had it installed for I think about five months now. No issues still totally happy with it. No it doesn't change anything with the tie rods. Only lessens the angle of the cv's. You really won't notice anything different. Except the peace of mind that your Cv's should live longer if you wheel at max droop often, especially if your lift allows extra droop.

I've been procrastinating (life is busy) but ever since @GI_Jo_Nathan added a riv-nut (see below) to his kit I thought I ought to add that as a baseline feature to the kit for folks to have the option to modify their skidplate in more ways. I still think you are perfectly fine to lop off the LH side, but the more options the merrier.

I cut my factory skids in a couple of places and added an M10 riv-nut to the drop bracket. Cut a notch on the engine skid where there is an unused factory welded nut right next the new bracket. Massaged with a BFH in a few spots and I'm really happy with it.

Anyone have pics installed with skid plate mods? I have ARB skids, just wondering what all would have to be modified on them. Not nuts on chopping them up being I just bought them. 😅

Nice! Yeah definitely really good to have options! And the less things that have to be purchased to make something work the better for sure.
